We are quickly being consumed with AI, even if you try to ignore it or push it away, it is here. Weaving itself into the daily tasks that collectively lead to ultimate success. In our tech driven world, designed to create speed and efficiency, we can’t forget what really matters are the relationships we cultivate along the way.
Some relationships are short-lived for a specific reason; others are long-term for a season of life. People come into our lives in many ways, what matters is how we handle these opportunities to cultivate a relationship that has meaning.
A positive approach to a moment of difficulty will always make a difference, speaking with a smile on your face and joy in your voice will change a person’s life. The simple act of answering the phone can make the difference in someone’s day.
Recently, while working with a client, she became anxious over closing on her mortgage on time. This was her dream home! She called me multiple times a day, sometimes multiple times in an hour. I quickly realized, she just needed reassurance, for me to let her know it was going to be “okay”. We had some challenges to overcome, but because I answered her calls each time, she was comfortable with the relationship. She trusted what I shared with her was required to get to the finish line. When we got the anticipated “clear to close”, she was elated and appreciative.
AI is shaping our industry in ways we haven’t even imagined yet. What I know is that our industry has always been and will continue to be shaped by relationship building. We will learn to allow AI to help us with tasks, but we must never forget relationships fuel the soul and shape the very people AI is meant to serve.
